broadcast on PBS back in 1976 and since has been put into the archives.
Beatles families and management will not allow it to be commercially released.

be a nice gem to digitize on to disc. Video>DVDr>VCD

The purpose of this permanent tree is to distribute free video material
from a variety of artists in the form of VCDs. Although the first VCD
tree will be Grateful Dead materials, future trees may contain video material
from Allman Brothers, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Bruce
Hornsby, Frank Zappa and pretty much anybody else out there. VCD trees
will be released and a assigned a number. The first VCD tree will be #1,
the second will be #2, etc. All VCDs will be from source material that,
at one time or another, was broadcast on network or cable TV and is not
available at present in any commercial distributed release form at the
time any particular VCD# tree is started. Only high-quality videos will be
distributed on this tree. No hand-held bootleg videos or slow speed (LP or
EP) low resolution recordings will be converted to VCD and distributed
on this tree.
In general, assuming high-quality source material, VCDs have a video resolution similar to a standard VHS tape. VCDs do not have the extreme high resolution of a SVHS(SP) or DVD(SP or XP) recording. VCDs can be played back on most stand-alone DVD players and on PCs that have VCD playing software installed (like the upgraded version of InterVideo's WinDVD). Although there are many DVD player compatibility lists available that will give you makes & models of VCD compatible DVD players, the best way to shop for a compatible player is just to bring a VCD with you to the store to try out on any DVD models that you are planning on buying. This is true with DVD-R and SVCD formats as well. See http://www.vcdhelp.com for further clarifications on various video formats.
Due to changing technologies the term "permanent VCD branch" is expected
to be at least 6 months as DVD-R consumer technologies will probably
proliferate rapidly over the next year. At that time we may choose to
convert this permanent tree to a DVD-R tree or just obsolete this VCD tree
and terminate it completely. Therefore, this tree will only be open to
individuals who can commit to at least 6 months of participation. Branch
participants are expected to make at least 4 sets of any VCDs they receive
in a timely fashion. Therefore, branch participants are required to be technically
competent in the skills required to duplicate VCDs and they must have the
equipment available to them to be able to perform this task. It is the VCD
leaves' responsibility to keep in touch with the branch above you who is
making your copies for you. When a branch notifies their leaves that they
are in possession of a new tree VCD it is each leaf's responsibility to
supply a B&P, or other arrangement, to the branch above them in a timely
fashion. At no time will there be any exchange of cash or other monetary
consideration for any VCD, postage, or other services provided!
